The tour takes you to Ayala Avenue in Makati, known as the ‘Wall Street of the Philippines’, and the American Cemetery and Memorial, built in honor of World War II veterans. Drive along Roxas Boulevard where you will make a brief stop at Rizal Park, the country’s monument to its greatest hero, and Manila’s most iconic landmark. Explore the walled city of Intramuros and visit Fort Santiago. Wander around its gardens and bulwarks, stop at the Rizal Shrine, which houses the memorabilia of Dr. Jose Rizal then travel on cobbled streets to San Agustin Church to see its wide collection of religious artifacts. Cross over to Casa Manila, a reproduction of a 19th century house, to admire its art pieces and antique furniture, before returning to the hotel.
Wear light, comfortable clothing, walking shoes or sandals. The summer months can be hot and humid, thus sunscreen, a sun hat, sunglasses are a must; during wet season when rain showers may be more frequent than usual, an umbrella and a light rain jacket will come in handy.
Children ages 5 and below are discouraged from joining the tour.
Children ages 6 to 11 years old must travel with two adults to avail of the child rate; if travelling with only one adult, then the child will be charged the adult rate.
