Clipper City Jazz Sail

Bring out the romance and step aboard the Clipper City for a jazz concert cruise around NYC. The hustle, bustle and noise of the city turns to the sweet, cool rhythms of bebop, smoky blues, ballads and other jazz standards as you sail smoothly out into the summer night all lit up with the backdrop of NYC skyline. Acclaimed jazz guitarist Joe Cohn, and saxophonist Ian Hendrickson-Smith, lead this swinging quintet; Joe will be joined by a variety of other well-known guest musicians booked by Jazz Standard founder, James Polsky. As with all Clipper City Sails, a full bar is available for wine, beer and cocktail purchase during the cruise.


Guests are welcome to help hoist sails.

Available Wednesdays; Departs at 9:45pm June through August, 9:15pm through September.

Plan to give yourself plenty of time to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time and stop by the Manhattan by Sail/Clipper City ticketing desk is located on Slip 1, Battery Parkto exchange your voucher for a boarding pass.

Participant restrictions

Each tour guides approximately 150 guests and may be shared with other people outside your party.


Tickets are not refundable and we do sail in light to moderate rain. If we cancel, it is due to severe weather and we’ll reschedule your sail at no charge. If you wish to reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours prior to the sail. There is a $10 rescheduling fee per ticket for rescheduling within 24 hours of the sail.

Complete information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, will be included on your Confirmation Voucher.
